Author Tom Ferguson is a Yale-trained physician and has been a pioneering advocate of self-help for over twenty years. He is president of Self-Care Productions in Austin, Texas. He founded Medical Self-Care magazine and served for many years as medical editor of The Whole Earth Catalog. He is the author of more than a dozen health books and a senior associate at Harvard Medical School's for Clinical Computing.
